Romantic Valentines Day Ideas

Like anniversaries, Valentine’s Day is one of the most special days for couples.  On Valentine’s Day, lovebirds take a moment to remind each other how much they care.  Take Valentine’s Day seriously by saying “I love you” in a unique and meaningful way.

Nothing melts a woman’s heart like a Valentine’s Day surprise.  Your wife or girlfriend might say she doesn’t want anything special on Valentine’s Day.  Even if she says this, you should still go out of your way to make Valentine’s Day a special and romantic day.  Don’t miss the chance to show her that you care.  Even if this day seems a bit silly to you, remember that women love romance.  Take the opportunity to let her know how special she is to you.

If you really want to make her happy, surprise her.  Pick her up from the office early – arrange it with her boss of course.  Her heart is sure to soar when she sees her loved one appear in the office with some flowers to personally whisk her away for a full day of Valentine’s celebration.

Make it a special event.  If it can be arranged, set up the event for a two-day rendezvous.  After you surprised her at the office, take her to a nice hotel, and spend the evening in their suite.  Do not worry dinner in this situation.  Have something nice delivered to the room for dinner, with a bottle of champagne.  Most hotels will not mind spreading rose petals across the comforter, if you ask.  This would be a nice touch.

You can also keep things simple.  My favorite Valentine’s Day actually started out quite gloomily.  I hadn’t heard even a simple “Happy Valentine’s Day” from my husband and was feeling down.  Feeling down and depressed, I decided to leave the office early.  The look of disappointment on my face must have been obvious.

I decided to go to my favorite local bar for a cocktail.  My face lit up in surprise when I entered the bar and found that each table was adorned with a simple red rose and a card that said “Our First Valentine’s Day as Mr. and Mrs…..”  I couldn’t hold back the tears, and instantly forgave my husband for his apparent oversight.  It turns out that he had planned the entire thing, and our romantic evening continued over a lovely dinner and beautiful views of a romantic sunset.

Planning an unforgettable Valentine’s Day requires a little imagination.  Think of ways to surprise her and spice things up with a little mystery.  Men have a natural tendency to concentrate on the usual routine.  The usual, like candies, Valentines flowers, dinner, and a romantic card are all wonderful, but try them with a new twist.  Take her to a fancy restaurant and ask the restaurant to print a special card for your table ahead of time.  Whatever you do, surprise is one of the best romantic elements.  Even if she presses you for information about your Valentine’s Day plans, don’t give in.

Remember that Valentine’s Day presents a unique opportunity for couples to express their love to one another.  However you spend the day, make your Valentine’s day a special one to remember.  It’s up to you, but I recommend sending flowers Valentine’s Day.
